It's alright

I'll look over the fact that this is completely unoriginal, this kind of game is now used as training for novice programmers, well that's what i am assuming is why you made it. The gameplay matches that of the original, plus the function of extra lives and upgrades which is nice, it was nicely drawn, but a little more could have been done, with the spaceship in particular, especially with that ominous red ball that shot fireballs for some reason, didn't know what it was. Well anywho the graphics were nice, gameplay was alright considering the game itself, music was lackluster, but at least it was something, and it was good to not have something so loud it pierced my ear drums. All in all i would say that you made yourself a decent asteroids game, only other comments i will make is that after i learnt that i could easily win by spinning in circles and holding the fire button there was no point to it, i mean i'd die every now and then but i'd accumulate so many more lives it didn't matter, got up to level 35 because i wanted to see myself explode into a pretty ball of fire. And at that note, i would just like to say that those planets move extraordinaryily fast at those levels.. kinda freaks me out, and makes me worry for the poor little critters that may or may not be living there. Anywho, i better rap this up then, you have done a good job, i'm only really doing nitpicking here, the game functions well and there doesn't seem to be any bugs, except maybe possibly the rate i can fire by holding the space bar down, im unsure as to whether that was intentional or not, but take what you want into consideration, hope some of this helps, if not then... ha, you just read through this whole block of writing for nothing :P Sandwich out

Thank you for a very very good and long review. The red ball was originally gray and it was easier to see that it was suppose to be a UFO like in the original. I turned it red because I thought it would look nicer, but I agree. I shall update that detail.

I could have programmed the missiles to fire with 5-10 px distance, but I like rapid firing of personal choice, but I will think about it.

Thank you again :)

Eh..

The game appears to be incomplete, after the first level is just stops and there is nothing else you can do. i might be mistaken and that it might be just me, but i don't think it works. However it is an interesting concept with the shortened sight and it has potential, maybe a lot more levels with some eerie music and some monsters it just might work. But for now it is incomplete and unsatisfactory

Actually no you can play the second level by pressing exactly on the letters. once it says level 3, that's the end of the demo. there are monsters, and I will continue it and there will be eerie music. so ya, thanks for the comment though I'm glad you like it so far.
